Golden leaves

Stories told by Osho have many spiritual messages and its characters or objects points to some most basic needs for spiritual enlightenment. The meaning i derive from this story and the basic needs towards these objects points as derived by me are here: This story is in agreement of principles of Chinese Mystic Lao Tzu that Tao includes both, the Yin and the Yang and still it is away from it enjoying by accepting both as important constituent of life. If a person has accepted only good qualities and habits then it is like a garden without Golden Leaves. It may looks good but unable to attain enlightenment or understand the truth or Tao or soul. In search of question “Who am I?” it is necessary to accept all your acts with gratitude because nothing is bad or sin, because it is the complimentary and balancing part of your personality to make you a whole. By hiding it or by not accepting it the equilibrium is lost that is needed to maintain in your search. That is why it is called as “The Golden Leaves”. It helps in opening up eternal treasure of in spiritual journey that brings eternal treasure of Ecstasy and bliss that can never be stolen from you without your consent. The more you share it, the more it increases…such is its nature. Actually once you achieve Tao or Soul or Saakshi bhaav, one immediately realises that neither the good acts belong to you, nor the bad, you are away from both. Hiding sin or bad means Ego is still governing you and unless and until ego/thought is completely dropped, mind cannot be brought to rest.

One may consider Golden Leaves as past failures etc etc. It is requested to share meaning that you derive from this story “Golden Leaves”.

Osho Stories

Once a Zen master was teaching the art of gardening to the king of Japan. After three years of teaching he said, “Now I will come and see your garden — that will be the examination of what you have done in these three years.” And he told him before that “Whatsoever you are learning go on practising in your palace garden, any day I may come.”

The king had prepared the garden and he was waiting for that great day; he rejoiced that the day had come. For those three years he had used nearly one thousand gardeners to implement everything in the minutest detail. And for that whole day and night — because tomorrow morning the master would be there — the garden was cleaned, everything was put exactly right, as it should be, no error, no mistake…

The master came. The king was very happy because whatsoever…

Who am I?

When i see, am i really seeing? When i listen, am i actually listening? When i touch, am i feeling the touch? When i inhale, am i able to decipher it? When i eat, who is feeling the taste?

Answer of all these question is I am the person who is seeing/listening/touching/inhaling etc.

Is it really true? if yes, then when a dead body’s eyes are open, what it is seeing? or if loud music is being played near it, who is listening? etc etc.

The seer is actually beyond the eyes and the mind and so is true for the listener etc.

We have attached our ego by unknowingly understanding that i am this body, and feeling by senses are recognized as I am feeling or enjoying all of them. This is due to society we live in and our surroundings from childhood. But it is our duty as human being to search within because only truth liberates. This is real purpose of human life and it is same for everyone, but paths may be different. One of the difference between science and spirituality is that of discovery. In science a discovery by one opens eyes for everyone, who whats to understand it. In spiritual journey each one has to discover his or her own soul or truth. The one who has discovered can only helps like a finger pointing to the Moon or just by sitting near such person a non-verbal communication between two bodies can happen as soul is same for all. That is why it is important to keep seeing i.e. Darshan (in Hindi) of such persons.

The path of spirituality is to experience the seer within, or the listener within by searching the answers of the questions above. This is where science and spirituality is similar.  Another difference between science and spirituality is that in science the search is outside and narrow, so even after highest qualification one finds himself/herself unfulfilling and the quest for more remains. While in the path of spirituality the search is inner and after realization or experience of truth or soul or consciousness it leads to liberation and satisfaction because it is infinite and eternal in itself.

All the senses are having two ends. One outer end and one inner end. When we see an object using our mind and physical part of our eyes its image is formed and mind helps to understand it from the available memory records. That is why a child goes on asking questions about things he/she looks for first time.

Experience of truth happens when one is thoughtless and in witnessing awareness the soul uses the other end of the eye to see from within to outwards! Since it does not require mind, so the mind must be still i.e. in no-mind state or state of thoughtlessness.

Now the question arises, why we think? We think because we treat this body as ours. So dropping of ego is must for this journey. Our qualification, because we have earned it, is biggest hurdle in it. All those designations that define you or your ego is the reason. This is the reason of your increasing stress in life, as you grow. Since we go on joining new groups, new social platforms real or virtual actually our stress level increases, in effort to reduce it because we fail to understand basic nature of Ego. Which you are not.

All those pictures or experiments of capturing the photograph of a soul leaving body and measuring the weight of soul are just eye wash and results are due to unnoticed errors as science narrows the field but actually soul’s filed is infinite. Soul never leaves, it remains stand still always. Like space occupied by a pot kept at a place in a room. If one changes its location, it occupies space of that location, the space never moves actually. This is why soul of all living and nonliving things are same  i.e. infinite, eternal and constant.

Answer of Who am i? is experiencing it, living it. It is living in ecstasy, or bliss once experienced it.

My meaning of Lao Tzu’s open all the knots. Basis Osho.

While Lao Tzu’s advice is to open all the knots. Knitting of two senses can be explained similar to enjoying food only for its taste instead of enjoying the food in totality with its  taste. Opening the knots means doing whatever you do with totality, not perfection. Like whatever you eat enjoy it to its fullest as if whole existence is poured in it- actually it is so, be it just a sip of water.

Enjoying sex in mind is knitting mind and body sense together. Opening of knot means bringing totality fully in every act of it and enjoying it to fullest then and there only (period), it should not even leave a glimpse in whole day. Knitting of beauty being enjoyed through eyes with mind, just a simple expression that what you are seeing is beautiful is involving the mind. The mind keeps the scene or beauty unexplored by senses fully and the sense then remains busy fullest alive for whole day due to knitting with mind!

Every moment the whole existence itself is made available to you in the space –  form you encounter  or with others each moment. Because our focus gets shifted to only one of its quality only or few of its qualities due to our experiences in our memory or mind, we just miss the whole existence that can be experienced by no-mind state only and we have gone astray to form a knot.
Now a days it seems we are busy in inventing newer forms of knots. It is good till we realise that everything that is available, is a form of existence itself. Knowing the knot is also good because then we just need to learn how to open them and whole puzzle called human life is solved in a moment and you come home.

Then we need not have to throw that we have caught tight hold of i.e. life but it will fall
automatically like a stone falls from the hands of a child when he comes to know about real Diamond, and the realisation that, what he is holding is just a stone, is enough.
It is in line with a book on talks given by Osho titled “From Sex to Super-consciousness”. His message needs to be understand very clearly. His focus was on full body experience during orgasm by both partner at the same time, which leads to first experience of no-mind or selflessness for a fraction of second i.e. Tantra.

Many persons experience it locally, hence keep yearning for more and more because of lack of real experience and keep searching it through eyes or other senses all through the day. That is mixing or knitting mind with senses. His message was clear that by failing in all the possible ways one day it may happen that you experience it the way it should be, then knot will open itself.

He described celibacy as trying to open the knot by force, then the opposite may happens  and one needs to hide it by artificial means, but after age of 60 when body becomes weak the suppression erupts and sometimes may go beyond control. Then trying the right method also very difficult and chances of getting successful with right result is also less. It is best to experience it before the age of 50, as Osho advised.

In my opinion, same is true for other fusions being tried now a days, the sooner one begins the better and focus must be to choose first what one enjoys while involved in it and learning happens automatically by dropping the negative attributes.

New knots are fusion/knitting of Art and Craft for Decision making, Fusion/knitting of Yoga for Health and wellness, fusion/knitting of mindfulness training for stress reduction or personality development etc etc.

They are good individually and with fusion its expected result can swing in either direction too, if suppression of natural talent is advised instead of enjoying and learning the new.

In my opinion, same is true for other fusions being tried now a days, the sooner one begins the better and focus must be to choose first what one enjoys while involved in it and learning happens automatically by dropping the negative attributes.

One can keep trying in his own way also consistently and persistently. One may succeed in very first attempt. Even if you succeed even in 20 – 30 years of time for first glimpse, your real personal journey called human life begins, in right direction for discovering “Self” or Self-realisation or Atma or Consciousness. All these yearning for Post, Power, Politics etc. is due to not experiencing it. Even then it is worth enjoying the journey.
“Being Human” from human being, and as a by-product one will automatically drop all negative attributes once Diamond i.e. self is seen or experienced.

What we are doing?

To be born as a human being is greatest gift, as God chose to manifest in this form at present. All around us and everything around us is his manifestation at present in different forms. Can we be given birth by ourselves? Can we die naturally as per our wish? Same is with everything around us, we are just changing form of available natural resources or arranging things in a particular order and taking its credit as its Owner, Discoverer etc etc.

This is the beginning of rise of ego in human being. Once we understand its cause, then we can get rid of it, as it is the very cause of misery in our life. This existence is wast and infinite and that too expanding every second. How a person can bring any change? It is its nature to keep changeping, we are just like a pen, we used to write, of God through whom he is giving colours in life at present. Or we are just a puppet or we are just like an actor, at present, in a film through whom the greatest director is directing its drama of the eternal world. As soon as our role is over, we will be called again to its backstage. This entering, rise of ego in adolecent age. And leaving the stage happens as soon as we realise that it is just a role, as actor, that we are playing and we are not contributor etc etc, then in that moment the ego vanishes with it vanishes fear of death because fear of death belongs to ego only. Or with life and death, if not understood the nature of ego in this life but then fear of death persists till death. Just by understanding it, you are away from it. Then there is no death as such of yourself. Just leaving this world like leaving the stage and going to backstage to prepare for another role. Then even your head is cut, you can see it falling.

When we believe ourself as our ego, and keep nurturing it too, then actually we are decieving our ‘self’ or God. It is strange that we have firmer belief on animals and nature than ourselves!

People in some part of India, when hear a dog crying, they can predict that someone nearby it is about to die because they believe that a dog cannot be decieved of. There are so many such belief that most of the people, who belong to a society or country, trust as true.

Using this story it can be understood easily,

A new person in a city/country was travelling from a railway station, in a horse driven cart,  to his friend’s house, to whom he came to meet for first time since he moved here.

There was a bee contineously making round around the head of the Horse, ans sometimes around the head of the passenger.

The passenger got annoyed with this strange behaviour of the bee. So he asked the coah driver whether he can recognise this bee or not? He replied that the bee is called as Horsebee and it makes round around the head of any horse or any of the species similr to Horse like Donkey, Zebra etc.

Surprised by the answer he asked the coach driver, challanging him about his belief, about himself “Whether i am like an Horse? The coach driver replied in negative. Then he asked “Whether i am looking like a Zebra? Agin the reply was in negative.

Felling confident about his perceptin and proving wrong the belief of the other, he asked the coach driver again, “It means i am a donkey? The coah driver, by bringing to halt the cart, glanced him top to bottom, and said “No, not at all, but sir you cannot decieve a Horsebee.”

By not getting involved in a little effort daily so as to realise our ‘self’ or dropping our ego, what we are doing is far greater sin, is by deceiving ourselves or God.

There are many ways suggested by sages of different time and places to drop this ego. Osho gave 112 types of meditation and then there is a general type applicable to all acts. It is about bringing totality, i e getting involved totally in each part of any one activity, initially, and not thinking anything about past or future or reward etc in those moments of activity. After sometime this habit will automatically spread itself to each of your activity.

It may be making love, as Osho suggested, it is the first experience of egolessness by two persons at perticular moment after attaining puberty.

A person can attaing same experience alone, in any activity through witnessing awareness. This is knowing or realising your ‘self’. Transformation happens immediately. As soon as it happens by seeing, fear of death falls just like a burning matchstick falls from your hands on reaching tip of your fingers holding it. Have faith in your religion first of all. Understand it with totality and be true to yourself.

How global business should be managed?

How global business should be managed? Lao Tzu in his book Tao te ching, chapter 60, said “Rule a big country as you would fry a small fish…”.

When a small fish is fried then a little less heat and part of it will remain unfird, a little more heat and it is burned. What is true about ruling a big country is true for a big multinational company too. It is true for a human being as well.

Before describing or commenting on this line Osho described at length that life is about discovering or developing a rythem from all the available opposite notes in life. Everyone is bestowed with anger and love, hate and compassion, sex and celibacy, truth and lie, voilence and non voilence, yin and yang.

A good ruler does not discard the bad against the good, but synthesizes them, by removing the tension between them, into a rythem. It is not about suppressing one against the other but a balance, like a poet creates in his poetry from normal looking words.

Now a days all internet based global companies are focussing on customer satisfaction. I think this is the reason. Amazon is even utilising expertise of a costomer for its benefit by asking them to answer the question raised by another customer!

Who knows that even an unsatisfied customer with recent purchase can answer positively about a product he has purchased earlier. This is creating a rythem from available notes that opposite in nature.

when such situation can be attained in day to day life, then Lao Tzu says is good for your soul and Osho described it at length.

Wordpress for wordless.

There are some sages or mystics like Raman Maharshi and Lao Tzu who preferred not to write much and kept their messages in concise form that too by flagging about it as untrue since truth cannot be spoken by word. Wordless expression is the truest expression of their experience. It reached to the person capable enough of catching it and learning from it. In Buddha’s line there are followers of “Heenyan”, mostly in Shri Lanka, who chose this mode of transformation. Transformation by being present and the wordless got communicated to the right receiver.

Becoming a right receiver is a must for learning, whether communication is through word or wordless. A right receiver can be defined as a person who has accepted his body, his all past deeds, his past qualifications, his post or position in society etc as a prerequisite and dumped them in a well and become an empty vessel. This may come due to total surrender automatically. Any questioning in mind or assertion in mind, like conformity/rejection with any scriptures one has studied previously etc, during transfer will hamper the process of transfer of wisdom to the receiver.

There are some sages or mystics who preferred to speak instead or remaining silent. They spoke to arise curiosity among those who are on edge. They answered the questions to teach “How to generate your own answers?” through their approach to answering. Whenever a person chooses words to express wordless then this caution of informing all, who may be listening or reading it, always precedes.

If a person merely sticks to the words expressed here and take it as a truth he may get opposite results. Since it is truth for speaker or writer but it is not his own discovered one. Only own discovered truth, answers are really right truth or right answers because they are expressed without words by existence itself.

This effort of analysing, highlighting, describing works of Osho uses words to express it. So a cautionary intimation is a must that it is not your truth and it is just pointing to some truth for Osho expressed by Osho in his own words for his disciples’ help in search of theirs own. It is a science of experimenting but with limitation that it cannot be transferred only a situation can be created since it is specific for each individual being too. Whenever one begins the gain is same for all irrespective of how much time one devote for it. No one is alone in this research as it is considered that all the past sages and even God is there to support you in this journey or research whatever name may be given to it.

One may draw an inspiration, direction from them and embark upon own journey to attain his/her own truth or answers. Only such own truth is called knowing and it is said that this is the asset that never diminishes by spending or sharing. It is carried forward to another birth i.e. Shubh Laabh or eternal gain. It is this asset which can be acquired by human beings only. It is with this responsibility every human being is given birth by God i.e. with this hope.

Reading and listening helps in opening of mind or develops our understanding. This is the only way by which one reaches to a level of understanding that may lead to the experience that can only happen. Then it is said that the journey begins.

An existential drama played through Osho as hero.

Existence has infinite ways of expressing itself. This planet was, is and will never remain voided by its presence in the form of human being.  Whenever a manifested form of existence realises that he is playing a drama in real life he/she becomes hero/heroine of that story. Here only the main character of drama knows that it is a play and act as if living life of a real human being.

In Hindi ‘Leela’ means a play or drama. Osholeela means the drama played by the existence in which Osho was main hero and only he knows that a role is being played as if it is a real life.
